Clara’s search for Magic – Book Review.

I’m a book worm there’s no two ways about it I’m always happiest with my head in a book, headphones in and closing the world out. When I first became pregnant with Harper I hoped she would love two things as much as I do. Books and Magic.

Bedtime is our favourite time of day at the moment, for many reasons but there is nothing we love more than snuggling up with a good book. There is nothing better at the end of a long day than bringing your favourite characters to life.

Our current favourite is Claras search for Magic by Alexis Hunter, when she got in contact to see if we would like to review it and I literally jumped at the chance.

Every night I ask Harper to pick a book and without fail its always Claras search for magic, the bright colours captivate her and she runs over shouting Ara! We’re still getting there with pronouncing names.

Our thoughts.

Even though this book is aimed for children aged 7+ it is still the perfect bed time story for any age, it’s so bright and colourful and has the most wonderful story.

The illustrations are by Ira Baykovska who is incredibly talented, the illustrations are in colour pencil and are probably some of the most gorgeous illustrations i’ve ever seen in a children’s book.

The message in this book is incredible and always leaves my heart feeling full by the end. Even the most ordinary people are magical.

I love the way this book has drawn Harper in and I feel like its the perfect stepping stone to get her into loving magic until she’s old enough for me to happily lend her one of my Harry Potter books.

Even Harpers Daddy loves reading this book with her and he’s a little bit of a muggle.
