London.. I love you

Today my heart has broken. Since becoming a parent I’m scared of the world that we’re currently living in. Thankfully Harper is young enough that I don’t have to explain what happened today.. However as the world is continuing spewing hate one day I’ll have to one day sit down and explain the world to her.

I’m going to have to sit there and explain there are groups of people of all races and religions who do heinous things sometimes in the name of religion, some because they’re unwell & some who have hatred in their heart.

When the news broke today I cried hard. It hurts my heart that people feel certain things that make them act in certain ways. I cried for the people who were injured and for the innocent people who lost their lives. London has always had a special place in my heart half my family are from there and for me it’s where I feel at home.

I will never be able to comprehend why people do what they do. My heart breaks that there doesn’t seem to be an end to all of these attacks. My hope is that one day my  daughter will be able to grow up into a world where she is safe. Where people can love, believe and be who they are without causing hurt or pain to others.
Make love not war.
